Guiding You with Care Through Family Law Matters

We’ll help keep stress to a minimum– whether you’re going through a tricky divorce, or trying to deal with issues relating to children, including access and other arrangements. Our solicitors are here for you, and will support you every step of the way.

Divorce

None plans to get divorced and we understand the stress you may be under, especially if you have children. We do everything possible to help couples negotiate the Financial Settlement Agreement and arrangements for children between themselves, or via alternative dispute resolution methods such as round-table negotiation and mediation. However, in cases involving domestic abuse or where there are significant disputes concerning jurisdiction or high-value assets, going to court may prove inevitable. If this happens, you can be confident that we will provide unmatchable case preparation and legal representation and will never give up until we get you the best results possible.

London is known as the divorce capital of the world because the Courts are traditionally generous to the financially weaker spouse. Whether you are wanting to file your divorce application in London, or wish to prevent your spouse from doing so, we can advise and represent you on the best steps to protect your interests.

Your divorce financial settlement will provide you with the financial foundation from which to move forward. Our Divorce Solicitors can advise you on all financial settlement matters, including negotiating the agreement, mediation (if required), drafting and submitting a Consent Order, variation of a Consent Order, Financial Settlement Orders (where the Court decides how matrimonial property and assets are to be divided), and spousal maintenance.

Our Solicitors are commercially astute and have extensive experience in dealing with high-net-worth divorce cases involving businesses, overseas assets, uncovering hidden assets (where one party does not make a full financial disclosure), and applying for Freezing Orders.

In all legal matters concerning children the Court, and therefore Solicitors, must make the welfare of the child the paramount consideration. As a team, we are dedicated to supporting our clients in protecting their child’s best interests. We can assist you with obtaining a Prohibitive Steps Order, Specific Issue Order, negotiating child arrangements, representing you in Child Arrangement Orders proceedings, and parental responsibility disputes. Our expertise also extends to assisting grandparents who are struggling to see their grandchildren following their son or daughter divorcing or who are concerned about their grandchild’s welfare.

Our experienced Family Law Solicitors react quickly in domestic abuse situations, especially when it comes to applying to the Court for Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders. We also have considerable expertise in advising clients who have suffered domestic abuse in getting a divorce. We understand that the perpetrators of domestic abuse can often try and control their partner by deliberately frustrating the divorce process. Our Solicitors will quickly spot these tactics and proactively ensure the case moves forward.
Legal matters concerning child abduction requires the advice and representation of a Solicitor who is swift, proactive, and understands not only the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (Hague Convention) but also how to successfully handle cases where a child has been abducted to a country that is not a signatory to the Convention. Languages spoken by our team include English, French, and Arabic and we act for clients trying to get their child returned and for ‘abductees’ who want to defend the compulsory return of their child under the Convention.

We also provide advice to parents in child relocation cases, both where the relocation is in the UK and abroad. This is an exceptionally emotional issue and you can be confident that our Childrens Law Solicitors will provide practical, sensitive legal support and put the welfare of the child at the forefront of our advice.
